From warehouses to hotel rooftops, Shoreditch is packed with quirky cool venues perfect for events. In this post we share our favourites for summer…
The two level street market is quintessentially Shoreditch, with cool colourful spaces, private areas and of course top street food and bars. The entire venue can be hired exclusively for 700 guests during the week.
With two terraces and a beautiful brightly lit restaurant, Eight Moorgate is a private members’ club that offers an exclusive touch to summer parties. Banquet dinners are served for 150 whilst standing events are available for 500 guests.
London’s purpose built summer party venue is understandably a popular choice. Located in the Old Truman Brewery’s Boiler House, it mixes historical roots with hipster interiors within a covered garden that fits 500 guests. Various packages are available with onsite games, BBQs, themes and furniture including giant bean bags and table tennis tournaments.
Returning in May is Street Feast’s Shoreditch market, a playground of spaces from a tiki rum rooftop to a cosy wine garden. The upstairs rooms can each be individually hired for groups of 70-500 whilst the entire venue including a floor of street food pop ups offers exclusive use for 1000 guests.
For a tropical celebration, head to Barrio’s La Terraza with an onsite BBQ, oversized games and of course Brazilian cocktails. The late night bar can host 80 guests in the garden with 3 additional spaces to make up exclusive hire for 360.
The 7th floor and rooftop of the Ace Hotel offers 6 separate spaces for events, each with panoramic floor to ceiling views over London’s skyline. The biggest, the Terrace Bar, accommodates 150 guests in a bright airy bbar that takes over the entire rooftop.
Boasting a rooftop bar and alfresco garden, the Queen of Hoxton is a fuss-free venue for summer parties, with the theme included. Each season the space is transformed, from a winter Moroccan Medina to a summer’s day in Neverland. Weekday exclusive hire for up to 500 will be available this summer with a brand new theme.
East London’s favourite rooftop offers a skyline backdrop for parties of up to 90 guests, with delicious Mediterranean food from the new restaurant ‘Tratra’, which can also be exclusively hired for 150 standing. As well as a year-round garden, the rooftop’s heated orangery is a respite from cooler evenings, filled with citrus trees.
Old Street’s unique event space in the middle of a roundabout is definitely magic – combining an open terrace, tented space, three bars and top street food for the ultimate summer party. The whole venue can accommodate 250-550 guests, as well as the Bassono Bar for up to 120. The space adopts a different theme each summer, taking on a throwback of the decades in 2017… safe to say we’re excited for what this year will hold.
The private members’ club with a difference is a completely unique venue for a party, with 20,000 square feet of flexible space available for dry hire, accommodating up to 400 guests. Over 80 classic cars set a motor themed backdrop, with some even available for guests to have a quick spin!
