Banks Sadler was asked by Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe to manage logistics for the PlayStation 20th anniversary party for 1,800 people. The invitation-only party was to celebrate 20 years of PlayStation and was held in the historical Tobacco Dock in Wapping.

The enormous guest list included a variety of attendees including SIEE staff, Executive Board members from Europe, US & Japan, and key journalists.
Only guests with a QR code gained access to the party and entered Tobacco Dock via a “time machine” lift. After a short theatrical performance, the lift doors opened and guests were transported back to 1995. The PlayStation experience was enhanced by subtle branding, actors handing out festival style lanyards and cocktails, and a DJ playing 90’s dance tracks. In order to maintain this immersive experience, guests walked through the historical building and discovered a labyrinth of rooms featuring everything from a graffiti wall in a Hip Hop room to karaoke battles in a Boy Band vs Girl Band room.
The celebrations culminated with a speech by Jim Ryan, the President & CEO of SIEE, followed by a live performance by Example. To keep the party going, SIEE invited guests back down to the cellars of this prestigious riverside venue for the mother of all after parties.
