Banks Sadler was asked to deliver a world renowned pharmaceutical company’s five day conference for 550 delegates in early June 2017. Banks Sadler managed all venue sourcing, logistics, travel and event technology for this large scale conference which took place at the Celtic Manor Hotel in Wales.
To engage attendees throughout the five days, Banks Sadler’s in-house web application GoEngage was used, which allowed delegates to view personal agendas, room locations, exhibitor profiles, plus interact with content at designated bespoke branded kiosks around the venue. The kiosks were used not only for viewing agendas and floorplans but also to ask questions and view photos from each day which were loaded early each morning.
GoEngage was a huge success with 21,419 hits overall, 1,385 kiosk interactions and an overall view time per user of 20 minutes. Throughout the five days, multiple plenary sessions were organised, with delegates scanning in to each session with their allocated RFID badges, allowing Banks Sadler to track attendance.
During the week delegates were entertained with impressive dinners including an offsite street-food market with circus performer acts, a ‘Rock-e-oke’ evening, and a gala dinner followed by live band Creation and a set from celebrity DJ Marvin Humes.
A team building activity was arranged for all 550 delegates at the Newport Dragons Stadium, where delegates learnt to do the Haka, and supported their colleagues in a touch rugby match.
