The Animal Health division of a global pharmaceutical company had recently undergone a major restructure, having acquired another animal health division from a partner company. Wanting to reinforce the message to their employees that they are stronger as one, they joined with Banks Sadler to deliver a three day event around their theme ‘one with the power of two’. The client’s event objectives were to bring the full business together in one place in a celebratory manner, to offer networking and team-building opportunities and to reiterate that if they all work together as one they have a brilliant opportunity to take over the animal health market. The 200 employees of this newly combined division were bought together at Riverbank Park Plaza in London.
Welcomed by a striking stage set in the main conference room, delegates attended morning sessions with content from key stakeholders explaining the new changes to the business. In the afternoon, to reiterate the key messaging of the event, the room was transformed into a Formula 1 pit stop, where on stage the nine-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner, Mark Webber, gave a keynote speech calling on examples of the importance of having a strong team.
Following Mark Webber’s inspiring session, crew members showcased a 1.94 second tyre change on a Formula 1 car; the first time this had ever been done outside of a track.
Banks Sadler handled all logistics, including health and safety and security for this impressive F1 showcase. Delegates were then split into teams to undertake a series of challenges including, a pit stop in a simulator, building an F1 go-kart, a pit-stop tyre change and the creation of a movie reel. The day’s events were followed by an impressive gala dinner, themed as the Monaco Grand Prix. Banks Sadler handled all venue sourcing, logistics, travel, and creative and technical production for this event. Feedback for the event was outstanding, with the client commenting
“The meeting was a tremendous success. You guys absolutely exceeded my expectations with regard to how you drew all the various elements together and made the event a pleasure to be part of. I’m still getting emails of thanks and congratulations from many delegates. Thanks again and I look forward to us working together again!”
