Venue Finder wins trip to Oslo at Company Conference

Posted on 20.12.2011
by Nicola Sykes

Even with 30 years in the business, having large event and venue finding teams in a number of countries means sharing best practice and continually improving process is something that can never drop off our radar. Our annual company conference, which this year was held at the Park Inn Heathrow, a Radisson Hotel is always a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues from different offices and departments, take stock and, of course, relax and share a vino or two at the evening entertainment!

Every team, whether front line event management and venue finding or part of supporting business functions, are asked to share their experiences from the past year whilst interactive sessions facilitate staff from across all global offices to come together and discuss the issues, legislation and practicalities affecting the corporate event management landscape. Our teams, and the service they provide, are what make Banks Sadler what it is - and an open discussion of ideas on how we can improve as a company is a key element of the event. However this year there was an added incentive for the teams to put their thinking caps on - a trip for 2 to Oslo!

We challenged every employee to question/ flag and suggest ways to improve the service we provide, in any area of the business. The prize on offer was a round trip from London to Oslo with Norwegian Air Shuttle as well as 2 nights at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel and 2 VIP Oslo Passes for free public transport and free entrance to most museums and attractions. We even threw in a Lonely Planet Oslo guidebook for good measure!

Venue Find Account Executive Amy Cook, who is based in the London office and pictured here with Tracy Gent Director of Conference and Incentive Sales at Rezidor, won the competition with enthusiastic and creative suggestions on how we can improve our promotional activity.

Well done Amy and have a fantastic time! We'll have an update from her on how the trip went in the New Year.
