As we are preferred venue finding and event management partner we were asked to develop a hotel programme with pre-negotiated preferred terms and conditions. This needed to align with US practices, delivering a global approach to consolidate their spend, drive cost savings and mitigate risk.
In order to provide the best possible transparency we completed a full analysis of spend patterns across the UK, EMEA and Asia Pac.
We then worked with the client's travel provider to identify some key locations and hotel chains that were capable of fulfilling demand and identified independent properties to fill any gaps in the chain coverage. Face to face negotiations finalised the agreement to terms and we worked with the client's e-sourcing tool to manage the RFI process.
