Rachel Zalewska Wilson, one of our York office Event Managers, is pictured here completing a bungee jump off Middlesbrough's Transporter Bridge - all part of her efforts towards raising thousands of pounds to help paralysed friend Debbie Plowman.
Debbie broke her neck when she fell on her head during an exercise class severely damaging her spinal cord and paralysing her. Rachel is organising a series of fundraising events for her friend, culminating in climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania next March!
Money raised from this climb will be donated to the Debbie Plowman Happy Faces Trust, which will provide vital support for the mother-of-two as well as providing funding for Spinal Research UK.
So far Rachel has reached £1,538 of her £3,000 target! Along with throwing herself off the Transporter Bridge, Rach has swam 5895 metres (295 lengths of a standard swimming pool and the height of Kilimanjaro) and walked the Three Yorkshire Peaks - she also has lots of future fundraising events which we'll keep you updated on.
