The venue finders and event managers down in our London office recently held a coffee morning to raise funds for the famine in Somalia, account co-ordinator Urooj Khan reports...
Delicious chocolate cake, spicy samosa's & spring rolls, refreshing pineapple and carrot cake and juicy sausage rolls were just some of the sweet and savoury treats on offer at our London office charity tea party to raise money for the famine in Somalia.
The hungry troops were armed with their pounds in exchange for a variety of delights to accompany their 11am cuppa. Not only did they down the food but they also put in a little extra for such a great cause.
A big thank you to all that contributed with their home-made goodies as well as some sneaky shop bought munchies.
We managed to raise a massive £107 in a space of little over an hour. Enough to provide emergency food to 100 families for a day!
Stay tuned for the next charity tea/coffee sale near you....
